Bushwacked
Location: Long Branch, New Jersey, U.S.A.

It's pretty much a one man operation around here, with me(Jim) doing the composing, arranging, vocals, and all guitars. My girlfriend Donna provides the inspiration. She is an amazing lady who is featured on her videos on YouTube. We now have our album available for download sales at SoundClick, though you can still listen to the music for free at all of our sites. All proceeds from the album will go to help Donna get a wheelchair lift for her van. Donna, who has Cerebral Palsy, was born with two strikes against her. She's been "left out in the cold" for most of her life. Let's help her to at least get in the game! Click here for our album. Then click the link for our store. If you enjoy the music, please spread the word. Visit us at ProjectOverseerProductions for more songs. You might have noticed that we normally record under the name LeJaz, and go by that name on our other sites; but not too long ago, I was so fed up with the policies of G.W.B. and co. that I decided to temporarily change our name to Bushwacked, and use that name on this website. On the other sites we are still known as LeJaz.

I wrote the song "The Ghetto" to express my anger over the way the powerless are treated in America(it's probably not much better elsewhere). The rich and powerful grab all the wealth for themselves...the rest of us fight over the crumbs. It is not a song about Blacks and Whites, by the way. It's about the have's and the have not's. The Ghetto in the title could just as well refer to a Mexican or Puerto Rican neighborhood, as an African-American one. And, for centuries the Jews in Europe lived in ghettos. Unless we learn to "love thy neighbor..." it is likely we will destroy ourselves and the whole planet as well.

A very talented musician friend of ours created a beautiful video tribute to Donna which can be seen here. It features a song of mine that he arranged and performed.

While we are waiting for the day to arrive when peace reigns on the planet, we might want to consider the following quote:
A democracy is two wolves and a small lamb voting on what to have for dinner. Freedom under a constitutional republic is a well armed lamb contesting the vote. Benjamin Franklin
