James Roberts
Location: Hamilton, Ontario, Canada
Got his first real 6 string at age 13, first electric at 30. Stints in cover bands in the 90's led to the idea of memorizing his own lyrics. Formed "The Original Six" in 2001 with some old band mates, writing and playing self-described "electro-urban folksongs". These days James continues writing and collaborating with various musical colleagues.
The songs are home-cooked concoctions taking ingredients from folk, country, 70's rock and alternative. Baked to a beautiful state of imperfection, they always leave a curious aftertaste. |
