The main member of Poppies is James Percy. James used to be the singer in a alternative rock band called this dumb desire.
After this band broke up back in 2001 James decided to learn to play the guitar and write his own songs. In late 2003 he finally learnt a few chords, his songwriting efforts are on this site recorded through two microphones on to an old 1970s tape deck. He sometimes collaborates with the percussive genius Ashley Smart.
