This one started out as a jam session in the fall of 2002. It sat quietly in the shadows for some time after that, waiting for Irene to finish the lyrics. In early 2003, the rest of the lyrics appeared out of the ether and L.A. Woman came to life as a discussion on some of the contradictions present in the lives of modern women.
