Frances Plante Scott
{Biography}
“THE SHOCK ROCK COWGIRL”
Frances Plante-Scott
(Singer/Songwriter/Poet/Activist).
Her songs are inspired by a 10-year personal struggle for justice against the Government, Los Angeles Cops and the dark side of various so-called peace officers. This album is a search for truth to expose the bogus War on Drugs, draconian Asset Forfeiture laws, and the war on the American people (e.g.. The Patriot Act). After her husband rancher/landowner Donald Scott was killed needlessly by the Los Angeles Sheriff Dept. (and involving 13 other agencies; i.e. the US Border Patrol, US Park Service, NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratories, the DEA, etc.), she wrote the songs for her new album "Conspiracy Cocktail" (Produced by Bob Dylan sideman, and film composer Ira Ingber). With the help of lawyer Johnnie Cochran {pre O.J.}, Frances revealed an appalling land grab scheme behind the botched raid on her home, the legendary "Trails End Ranch", in the hills above Malibu, CA. Frances has been dubbed the Erin Brokovich and/or Annie Oakley of Malibu (Ms. Brokovich never spent 8 years living in a Tipi, armed to the teeth!). She has been compared to Karen Silkwood for an unwavering dedication to find and reveal the truth. Frances is also an accomplished musician/singer/songwriter.
Frances' story and music have evolved into "folklore". Her struggle for justice has inspired countless people to stand up and take notice at the egregious civil rights abuses perpetrated by our own government! Her songs have an eclectic range of both style & emotion. From the hard edged guitar sounds of "I'm Going To Stop You" to the spiritual lullaby "Indian Dreams", Frances has created a lush palette of cathartic musical expression. With top flight production by Bob Dylan sideman & film composer Ira Ingber, this album stands as a clarion call to every American, and a grim statement for the world community. There is also humor at work here in the folly of "Monkey Island", a comedic look at the War On Drugs and a possible solution.
Look for her follow up album "Organic Plante" due in 2004. Produced by former TYRANNY, and FLASHBACKK guitarist Billy Aylesworth {grandson of music icon Ray Eberle, lead vocalist for The Glenn Miller Orchestra}.
