Adair's Saloon -- on Commerce St. in Deep Ellum (Dallas, Texas). That's what this song is about. A tough place to play. A great place to play -- if you can handle it. Wry Dawn played there with another band one hot summer night a few years ago, and walking in to the place DW said to no one in particular, "Man, what are we gonna play to rock this place?" He wrote "Whatcha Say" on the way home from the gig (which went pretty well, after all). Next time we went back,we played it for that gritty, belligerent, music-loving crowd -- and they loved it. We do too, and we're looking forward to our next trip back to Adair's.
