This song came out of DW's experience living in a big city in the northeast. He spent a lot of time with a couple of guys from the south who were there, like DW, for school. They helped each other deal with the pretty cold, fast-paced environment up there by reminding each other of life's finer joys -- like getting out under the sky fishing, or sitting out in the woods breathing fresh air, or driving through the country and so forth. One friend in particular -- we'll call him "Memphis" -- was great at keeping his perspective when things got crazy. Seemed like there was always some more peace -- some more nature -- something more real -- some more blue sky -- around him than the rest, and everybody dug being with him because of that. So this is a song about getting back to a better place...that isn't so far away.
