Born in 1970 in a suburb of Cleveland Oh., my first job was a paper boy at age 12. I really liked working outside, to be in the elements always made me feel connected to the world. It's like food for the soul. I got involved with music a few years later, playing the baritone in the school band. It was really my first taste of the elegance that I saw in music. How so many different parts with so many different textures could come together as one piece was almost intoxicating. My dad and brother both played guitar, so naturally I began tinkering with it. Soon I was listening to Van Halen trying to pick up some of his licks.(still can't play some of them!) My first garage band came around a year later and 10 bands later I finally hooked up with Lucky Fokker. This was about 1995 and we are still collaberating today. There are just sometimes when the comfort of writing music can relieve the most stressful situations. Its like walking in the rain with a bag of newspapers, good for the soul
