Grown deep in the woods of Vancouver, we are City of Envy. Formed in 2003 by friends Sean Symons and Chris Allison, the band has undergone many changes since its inception. Fast forward five years later and the future looks bright for this Vancouver based rock band. With the addition last year of bassist/vocalist Sal Pirro (ex-frontman Reasons to Burn) things in the City of Envy camp began to heat up. The band tightened their set list and started working on new material that incorporated a slightly heavier edge. But there was a dilemma brewing....The band now had three members capable of singing lead vocals, which made for blistering three part harmonies, but no defined frontman. Not being ones to conform, the band decided to embrace this special gift, and as you can hear, they all take their turn on lead vocals, while the guitarists switch between the lead and rhythm parts. Just recently the band acquired drummer Aubrey Trotter (Catapult) who's hard hitting style and talent has completed the bands transformation. We've just finished mixing and mastering our first cd "Last Call...". A huge thanks to Myk Shaflik(Catapult/Tarnish by Gray) for recording, engineering, and producing our cd. Without his time and expertise, none of the songs you hear would have been possible.
