The Toylanders were once the backing band for the great Earl Flemm, and they served as his humble Fullerbrushmen. They decided to leave the band to find the their own "frickin genie." As they were tired of living in Earl Flemm's shadow.
Working with old Earl was an experience. We grafted hard hours in Japanese bars for years and built quite a following in the sushi bars.

. Earl would also have us follow him door to door as he tried to sell his songs that way - just like the fullerbrushmen of yesteryear. We never thought that was the best idea, but we humored him because he is a genius.

We were mostly thrown out by burly Sumi's more often than not. Earl "lost it" when he blamed Chris for stealing his Argyle "song sellin socks." He ended up in an asylum for musical genies with unusual festishes (the socks.)

That is until he heard the "Toyboys" on the radio (his nickname for us.) He broke out of there and hit the road again with a new fullerbrushmen crew. It's a war now with Earl. nobody upstages The Great Earl Flemm..
Well anyway this is the way the story goes...it may be a book someday. But if you find it incredible, trust your senses, and consider the possibilty that The Toylanders are just Gary Stone recording on his own, and Earl Flemm is just Kevin Carey doing the same. Earl Flemm can be heard at Soundclick. We got kicked off of soundclick, which if you knew the reason why, you'd agree it is probably to our credit
.
News Flash: A quote from Earl Flemm
"You bums continue to find ways to annoy me. I'm sorry I ever taught you a lick on the guitar. I poured all I had into you boys and you go and steal my socks. Now your trying to steal my thunder. We could have made it big in Japan cept for the fact that sock stealing Chris can't hold his Sake. and you went and and got that samari's Geisha girl in a motherly way. Yous nothin but problems since the day yous was born. Now you shows up on Songplanet like it's the moon or something. yous bunch of no good alien muscian wannabees. I'll git ya. I'll git ya good for what you did to me. Yours truely, Earl"
