Gary Carciello, Doctor C and Self Tort first met on the now defunct mixposure.com. Listening to each other's tracks we not only realised that we each liked the music of the others but that our tastes and influences were similar. In late 2007 we decided to get together for a collab. Gary had come up with a very funky backing track and invited Tort to come up with some lyrics and do the vocals. Once that had been agreed on it was a no brainer that Doc should come on board. That collaboration resulted in Dr Funkenstein. The trio have recently got together again. Again, Gary came up with the backing track, Tort added words and vocals with Gary and Doc adding the finishing touches on guitar and keyboards respectively. Hopefully there will be more to come.
