Snatch Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Snatch is a Toronto-based band that plays rock. They have a self-titled, original, “basement” album, and continue to compose new music. Snatch plays all-original tunes.
Snatch is real, radio-ready rock -- not too heavy, not too soft – ranging from sweet melodic ballads, featuring vocalist Al Rowe, to a heavier, edgier, almost metallic rock sound from guitarist Darren Butt, bassist Daniel Judah and drummer Jon Kudjerski. The infectious melodies and riffs sound like what might happen if Brandon Boyd (Incubus), Jerry Cantrel (Alice In Chains), Justin Chancellor (Tool) and Taylor Hawkins (Foo Fighters) threw all the music of the past 40 years into a blender and then spat it back out at you, stamped with each individual’s creativity.
Snatch came to be in April 2005, and since then has grown in skill, creativity, and maturity. The group underwent some lineup changes, but has cemented it’s four. Al, Jon, Daniel and Darren have been composing music independently, together, and with other groups for as long as five years and continue to show growth and potential in their songwriting.
Snatch has played at venues including Paramount Canada’s Wonderland, the Opera House, the Big Bop, Reilly’s and many more. They continue to turn heads and raise eyebrows as they spread their original sound further. Enjoy!
