blockhead is a power-trio that plays high-energy alternative rock -- pop music with a punk edge. founded in 1997 by patrick stirrat (who is currently in the cocktail revisionists), blockhead had a brief but productive career. they put out 2 ep-length cd's on the urban cheese records label in 1998: "fragile", and "one thousand craniums". soon after the release of 1000 craniums the band broke up because of a change in priorities for one of the band members. fortunately, everyone stayed friends. soon after the breakup of blockhead came the birth of the cocktail revisionists, who are also here on songlpanet.com. in fact, two of the songs on the cocktail revisionists songplanet page are actually blockhead covers. one of these days we'll post the original versions here.
blockhead lineup:
patrick stirrat: guitars, vocals, keyboards
neel daniel: bass guitar, lead guitar
pete glase: drums
there is a rumor floating around that the original members of blockhead are forming a new band called "dyslextasy". And those rumors are true! |
