Stephanie Krowka, currently living in North Palm Beach, Florida is the bassist and a featured vocalist in the popular Palm Beach music trio…“ACOUSTIC REMEDY.”

She was born and grew up in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. At the age of seven, Stephanie got her first acoustic guitar and began taking formal lessons, but soon became frustrated with the pace and methods employed by her teachers. Deciding that she could progress more quickly on her own…she began teacher herself music by ear…and with Instructional Records. Her early influences included Ronnie Milsap, The Charlie Daniels Band, and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Stephanie plays music full-time, and has also just recently finished her first recording projects in Connecticut... along with Michael Foster and other members of the well-known veteran recording band AVALANCHE. More recordings are forthcoming...as the CD progresses. Aside from her skills as a bassist and vocalist, Stephanie also plays piano, acoustic guitar, mandolin and harmonica.

RECENT MUSICAL HISTORY:

At the end of 2002, Stephanie was selected as the bassist for the Port St. Lucie group “The Difference” with whom she remained as their bassist, until 2005. During those years, she also worked as a free-lance bassist with locally known players Larry “Hot Curl” Figaro, “Captain Cooke and The Great Barrier Reefers” and Guitarist/Keyboardist Michael Foster from AVALANCHE, BUDDY GUY, THE MOHEGAN SUN ALL STARS, and numerous other groups.

In October of 2005, Stephanie hooked up with Guitarists Steve Jones and Andy Stein…and the three now make up the current incarnation of “ACOUSTIC REMEDY”...a well known live music act in the Palm Beach, Florida area.

In June of 2006, Stephanie traveled to Connecticut with Michael Foster for AVALANCHE's annual Studio Recording Sessions…and as a result, she also appeared as a guest vocalist on "I BELIEVE"...one of the songs recorded during those sessions.

After that initial recording experience...and as a result of it, Stephanie realized that it was time for her to start writing and recording more of her own music...and in June 2007, Stephanie made the trip to Connecticut again…but this time, she made the trip to record the title track of her upcoming CD project entitled “DEEPLY” ...having spent much of the time during the previous year writing new original material for it. With Avalanche backing her up in the studio…and Michael producing the CD...Stephanie’s talents as a songwriter, bassist, and vocalist have become obvious to anyone who takes the time to listen to this fine debut track. Work on that CD continues...as much as her very busy live performance schedule allows her time for recording sessions.

A frequent visitor to SongPlanet’s Chat Room during live DJ shows for many months now…Stephanie now joins the ranks of SongPlanet artists with whom she already enjoys close friendships with. EXCERPTS FROM STEVE GILMORE REVIEWS: AVALANCHE/STEPHANIE KROWKA: "DEEPLY"

...where there is life, there is hope. And rock and roll...

Stephanie Krowka is the lady in person and I guarantee you'll be just as surprised as me at the quality of her singing and songwriting (she wrote Deeply). It therefore means, of course, that the usual Avalanche warhorse is a bit muted but the lead guitars pack enough punch where they are needed in this excellently produced (top of the range I tell ya..) instantly likeable track.

There is a slight retro feel to the track but once the music kicks in, you know you are in good company. I wish I could put my finger on who Stephanie sounds like but whoever it is, it works. Aided and abetted by a faultless (at least to my ears) Mike Foster arrangement and production, the combination brings us a track of rare quality, and a haunting kind of wistfulness that stays with you....I am aware it may not be to everyone's taste but I defy anyone living to listen to this track and not recognize that this is one of the best sounding tracks you have heard anywhere - online or off it. Not talking about the music here mind, you either like it or you don't; a personal choice. Nope what I'm talking about here is state of the art production in every way.

RATING: Top Class Rock. MUST HAVE
