Written to commemorate the wedding of Iain and Marianne Carnegie, "Variations on a Theme By Iain Carnegie" is rooted in an ostinato pattern that Iain contributed to a composition by Protos. This set of variations has been arranged for chamber orchestra and rock drums - a combination that prompted Vitaly Menshikov (Progressor prog rock reviewer) to call the track "an absolute winner" that is "beyond comparison" on account of its originality.
