With more than 20 years in the music industry, Raymond Acevedo has a well established and diverse music history. He began his career in the early 1980's as a solo artist before obtaining a coveted spot in the Latin supergroup, Menudo. Performing in front of millions of fans gave him a wealth of experience, and that experience has helped him develop into who he has become today, an international singer/songwriter/entertainer/artist.
In the late 1990's, Raymond was writing songs for Warner-Chappell Records. There, he met another writer by the name of Aurelio Laing. They began writing songs together and ultimately decided to leave Warner-Chappell to form their own independent label, Afterworld Records. Raymond's return solo debut came full-circle in the form of 'Amor Oculto', released in May 2001 on the Afterworld Records label. In 2004, another release followed…this one called 'Age of Anxiety'.
Raymond is not only a singer/songwriter, he is also an accomplished visual artist. Artistry runs in the family, as his father is an accomplished artist as well. Raymond attended visual arts schools in New York and Florida to help mold his talents.
After spending the past year and a half in Brazil, pursuing business opportunities, Raymond has returned to his home in the US. New music, as well as new art, are in the works!
