Inner Surge
Location: Calgary
Inner Surge was formed in 2001 by Steve Moore, who wrote and recorded the debut album "Solus Verum". The band has an explosive live show and blends punk, rock, metal, electronic and eastern influences. Inner Surge has played many shows including the "Rock against Racism 2002" concert in Calgary, as well as organized it's own benefit concerts for charities such as Operation Eyesight Universal and the Evan Shaw Foundation. Inner Surge is promoted by Platform 12, a company which also promotes artists such as My Arm is an Ocean and Huckster Rayzor. Inner Surge's intense and honest sound has given the band a fast-growing following, and with plans for a new album on the horizon, the word is sure to spread.

 Horror film Cabras to include Inner Surge on official soundtrack

The thriller movie "Cabras", directed by Fredy Polania will have a soundtrack featuring Inner Surge's "Retribution Song" as well as tracks from other bands such as New Crash Position, A New Way Down, CEDE, Area 51, Calabrese, Pinga and others. Inner Surge's music videos are being filmed in January in Calgary. Look for big things to happen in the Spring/Summer as promotion for the soundtrack goes into high gear. More news to come.

Well, INNERSURGE.COM, Inner Surge's official site has been launched as of today, May 14th. The website features a custom jukebox with 12 tracks from both CD's, as well as full lyrics, images, news, individual bios, links and a mailing list. Visit INNERSURGE.COM now and sign the guestbook. CrankSpiv records latest comp featuring "Beneficial Fever" will be available online in March. Inner Surge's track "Backlash" will be featured on the upcoming SW Records Alt/Metal comp to be released in March as well.
The track "Driven" and others will be featured in Australia's Idiot's Inc. Entertainment's next extreme sports DVD. They are still accepting submissions. E-mail Inner Surge for contact details.
Steve Moore's other project "Free Form" is now up and running. He will be playing acoustic shows and is currently working on a CD for this project. To hear Free Form, just click the link at the top of the page.
Also, INNERSURGE.COM is in the works and should be up and running in March.

Inner Surge's tracks "Bury the Evidence" and "In Code" are featured in the new thought provoking environmental documentary "When Today Becomes Tomorrow". Steve Moore attended the premiere June 17th and enjoyed the film. To get a copy of the DVD or watch the trailer, visit www.cvs.org.
Inner Surge will begin recording it's next album June 19th at Echo Base Studios.
Also, many shows have been booked. Over the next month, Inner Surge will share the stage with Dry Fisted, Black Sky, the Motherfuckers, Black Wednesdays, Crystal Kid, Revolution and many others.

Inner Surge made the #4 spot on Punkcanada.net's "Best of 2004" list. Others on the list were Alexisonfire, Killswitch Engage, 3 Inches of Blood, Moments in Grace, Straylight Run, Underoath, Wake Pig, Rise Against, and 36 Crazyfists. Here's what they had to say:

Inner Surge has been confirmed for inclusion on the "Cabras" movie soundtrack. For info on the thriller movie "CABRAS", go to www.cabrasmovie.com. The new version of "Retribution Song" will be used for the soundtrack, and a video will be done for the song. "CABRAS" directed by Fredy Polania, will premiere 20 exclusive music videos online, 2 whole years prior to the films release. More details will be posted shortly as more is in the works.

INNER SURGE RELEASES VIDEO FOR CABRAS SOUNDTRACK

Toronto, ON - May 2, 2006 --
On May 2nd, Inner Surge will launch their music video for the first single off
their critically acclaimed new album "Signals Screaming" entitled
"Retribution Song". After filming with "Cabras" director Fredy Polania
of Polania Pictures at various Calgary locations and with the help of artist
Shaun Friesen of Free Zen Design, the video will feature art from the album,
some live performance and a lot of the unexpected.
Retribution Song was inspired by the massacre in Uzbekistan last year,
where roughly 900 men, women and children were gunned down by the country's
army while peacefully protesting their authoritarian government.
After reviewing thousands of Canadian artists, Inner Surge was chosen by
Fredy Polania as the only Canadian band to be featured on the Cabras soundtrack.
Other countries to follow include Israel, Japan, Colombia, Latvia, and
Australia. All the videos will count down to the unleashing of the official
website and trailer for the film.
"Retribution Song" will be available May 1st for stream and download at
www.cabrassoundtrack.com. The song will also be featured on the Cabras movie
soundtrack, due for release along with the movie in 2007. Inner Surge's video
is one of 20 that movie director Fredy Polania is filming to promote "Cabras",
making it the first movie soundtrack to film 20 music videos and have
them all available for download on the video iPods. To view all the videos
