Guerrilla Radio Location: Nottingham, Midlands, U.K
Soaring melodies, tricky riffs, contagious hooks and wide dynamics rule their sound. Live performances are energetic and captivating, moving swiftly between moments of exquisite calm and frantic noise. Guerrilla Radio has a fresh sound that draws on a wide range of influences, from the likes of Led Zeppelin and Brian Wilson to Boards Of Canada and Venetian Snares.
The band consists of twenty something’s Richard and Chris Gittins, Sid Fawcett and Alex Lucas; between them they have a vast amount of musical experience. From playing lead Cello in Nottinghamshire County Orchestra, to BBC recording sessions, national T.V and radio airplay and a top 20 hit in the Canadian national singles chart.
The band was formed during the early months of 2006. A new project for the four, and a welcome break from the tires of their usual musical exploits. A few festival and small local gigs followed helping the group to find their direction and hone their live performance. Having just completed their first demo, Guerrilla Radio is ready to hit the stage once again….
