| "A Paris Tale (with Rapster - Di Carlo Master)" | |
| This arose from a story I read in a Murdoch "rag" about 30 years ago. The article reported that thieves in Paris had stolen money hoarded by an old miser, which the miser had kept in socks hidden under his mattress. The thieves dropped on of the socks as they were decamping and the gendrames and the sniffer dogs were able to pick up the scent and catch them. I always thought it had the potential for a song and started writing it in about 1975. Then realised it was going to probably end up a 10-15 minute song to get the whole story told so I put it in a drawer. Found it again last year and started working on it again. I had come across Rapster on a number of OMDs and came up with the idea of using a rap section to speed up the story telling. Rapter kindly offered to do the rap section. The track was mastered by Di Carlo through his Online Mixing and Mastering Site. This is the third track Di Carlo has mastered for me and I'm been impressed by his work on all three tracks. Hopefully, it's a bit of fun. Cheers Brian aka Self Tort | |
