| At the age of 54 it's hard not to write songs about getting old. Just a matter of what "twist" you give it. This is a tongue in cheek, and hopefully fun take on getting old disgracefully, I wrote it when I was a member of a band called "Mid Life Crisis" and it became our "signature" tune, much like "Hey Hey We're the Monkees". Musically it's derivative. A minor blues/rock song with a beat that probably owes a lot to Golden Earring's "Radar Love". But for all its flaws it's still a song that I identify with.....and so do a lot of my audience. Hope you enjoy. | |
