This started of with a simple drop D riff on the guitar and a simple lyric a few months ago. The lyrics are simple and I repeat the same lines, first verse as second verse. I got a new toy (Korg KontrolPad) for my drums so of course I had to try it out and I'm very happy with it. The drums you hear on this piece where done using the pad with my fingers and the rolls you hear where done with the x-y pad feature as well. (fingers again) The midi pad was coupled to Reason's ReDrum with the high quality samples from the Drums samples DVD that comes with Reason. After I hand tapped the drums some of the stray notes where quantized, some where not to leave that real feel to them. All of the various sounds you hear where also done via midi controller keyboard as well. The bass is my six string with a flanger to see how it sounds.... The guitar parts are me with the exception of the electric guitar parts played by Mike K as well so there is a mix of sounds on this piece that lend to the feel......
