The Castle Hill Rebellion is little known in Australia, the only rebellion in Austalia's history. Also known as the Battle of Vinegar Hill, it involved Irish rebels ("United Irishmen") who were transported after the original Battle of Vinegar Hill in Ireland. Their main purpose was to aquire a ship & sail home. It became known as the 'stain' by monarchists & never spoken of.
