Glenn Halldorson Location: Los Angeles, Ca
A native northern Californian, Glenn grew up in a small suburb of Sacramento in a supportive and musical family. His grandmother was an opera singer and a self taught pianist. His uncle is a professional session drummer who still works gigs to this day.
Inspired by them, Glenn learned to play the piano and drums at 12 years old. As a teenager, he picked up the guitar. He spent most of his time learning and listening to music. Upon high school graduation, he was invited to play drums with various bands that were always comprised of much more experienced musicians. Those opportunities allowed him to push his talent to new levels.
But it was after a chance encounter with an old friend and fellow drummer who heard him play guitar that changed it all. He was asked to join a Top 40 band and easily adjusted to performing out from behind a set of drums, playing guitar and singing back up. The group became one of the most popular Top 40 bands in Sacramento. Eventually, Glenn primarily wrote the music for the band and also focused on original works.
In 1999 he moved to Los Angeles to attend the Musician's Institute in Hollywood. Today, Glenn writes, produces, and performs original music. |
