The Easton Brothers Band Location: Eastford, CT. U.S.A.
The Easton Brothers Band record and perform many different styles, all melded together to produce some of the most refreshing Rock Music in recent times. Using everything and anything, from Beatle-esq harmonies, tight arrangements, and RAW POWER, mixed with great lyrics, to Blues, Folk, Country, R & B, and good old fashioned Rock & Roll, the Eastons are a tour de force!
Among the highlights are their being proud original members of Avalanche, one of Songplanet's top groups. After a long hiatus, they're back recording with Michael Foster, and producing the first new Avalanche music in over twenty years.
The Easton Brothers, Mark and Barry, have been playing together since childhood. Like his brother Mark, Barry started playing Drums at an early age. He has performed with many New England bands, including Buster Brown, Perfect Stranger, King Cod & the Blues Sharks and Sweet Daddy Cool Breeze, to name a few. He is also an original member of Avalanche, and currently performs with Sweet Daddy and the Blast.
Guitarist, vocalist, songwriter, and producer Mark Easton, remains a much sought after "gun for hire," having performed and recorded with many New England bands and solo artists. His writing and producing skills are always in demand, but it is his expertise as a guitarist who can handle almost any style of music that keeps him a viable force in today's music scene. With almost 40 years of professional performing and recording experience, he shows NO signs of slowing down, and swears "I'll probably die onstage with my guitar in my hands!"
When not performing with the Easton Brothers Band or Avalanche, Mark and Barry tour with internationally known Blues artists Sweet Daddy Cool Breeze and The Blast. They also own and operate Roughcut Studio, their personal facility, where the new Avalanche and Easton Brothers material was recorded. Mark has also had the pleasure to record and produce other artists, including his very good friend and Songplanet artist, Jimi Pocius.
The Easton Brothers are now busy recording at Roughcut Studio. Their latest CD, Led Foot Floyd, is available by visiting their web site and e-mailing the address at the bottom of their welcome page. Also available are their 1994 release, Wait For The Medicine Man, their 2001 release, Highway Hallucinations Part 2, and their 2006 CD Led Foot Floyd. They have posted songs from all three CDs, as well as Demos from the new sessions. The band hopes you continue to enjoy them.
