Biography:

Soul Survivor aka Calvin MacLean is amongst an exciting crop of UK R&B/Hip-Hop singer song writer Producers making their mark.

Soul Survivor was part of the successful R&B group "AKA" and is an ex major label artist. He runs his own production company along with fellow writer and producer Owen Remeke "Remztate". born in Nottingham (UK) and raised with gospel music allowed him later to fuse a mixture of musical styles that influenced his youth. When you listen to "Soul Survivor" you hear old school groves, US influenced, R&B/Hip Hop and Reggae.

Soul Survivor has a laid back yet determined attitude personality and is a great believer in letting the music do the talking. He's worked with Trevor Horn to Mark Morrison, toured with Dela-Soul to mixing with the Jackson brothers and was offered a pert in a Samuel L Jackson film.

He is currently promoting his self penned and produced album called "Time Can't Stop" which features his new prodigy "Lady C" on the last track of the album "Something Inside of Me".

Even though he and the track is not yet signed, it went straight to No1 and stayed there for over 5 weeks. The reaction to the track was amazing and took everyone including the radio station (which is a major local radio station) by surprise.

The track is now being promoted by "Xposure Urban Promotions" and is currently play listed on some urban shows across the country and receiving rave reviews.

A truly exciting performer as well as a wizard in the studio and a great prospect for any label/publisher for he is also a gateway for more talent to come through. With a strong underground following he's the ultimate Urban Soul Survivor.
