I play Guitar and Bass and have recorded 5 CDs with 3 bands.
The last two bands I was involved with, Stickypistil and Never Never Band were an odd mixture of rock, rap and urban contemporary with Socially Topical lyrics and lots of guitar. Needless to say this was not a real money maker!! We did get to play some fun festivals though and Stickypistil was able to play at Woodstock 99 and the Solar Music Festivals and managed a few tours. In 2001 we tired of touring and struggling to pay bills so we went our seperate ways . Since then I've written and recorded an Instrumental Guitar CD that draws from such varied influences as John Scofield , steve vai and Tom Morello. I've also become very interested in electronic music and have been working with Propellerheads Reason and Logic pro7 . I'm involved in helping young Poets and Mucisians in my area get recorded and and I've produced and recorded 3 Demos for young artists here ....for free....
I think the most compelling thing about the Internet is it's potential for Generosity! While I would love to make some money with my music some day (ha ha ha ha!) I'm more interested in working hard to make interesting music and sharing it with listeners and other musicians.
I'm involved in the struggle, put forth by generous souls, to keep the World Wide Web from becoming the "world Wide Wal-Mart"
