While transferring his consciousness online, our scientist hero did not realize his connection was being spied on by a black-ops intelligence agency.

Their monitoring devices split the packets that represented him - the nastiest, funky parts of his mind fragmented from the rest - the Digital Nasty was born. TDN's oft-evil consciousness struggles to recall his humanity, and battles with how the ever-changing cybersphere is changing him... (his name used to be Barry)
