Tintern Abbey is the musical pen name of singer/songwriter/producer Rob Allen. The name comes from a poem by William Wordsworth entitled “Lines Composed a Few Miles above Tintern Abbey.” Founded by Cistercian monks in 1131 A.D., the abbey still stands today and is a hauntingly beautiful reminder of the lives and faith of so many in centuries past. The music of Tintern Abbey is as varied and honest as the many souls which once graced the halls of that monastery. Songs of love and loss, hope and despair, Rob writes with a refreshing and vulnerable edge.
