At the age of 14 Eric got his first guitar, by age 15 he was forming his own band. By age 17 he was performing in local taverns. By age 23 he was traveling the country with various bands. He had the whole 80's thing happening, Eric was pretty much just a "lead guitarist" during those days...While on the road he was crafting his original writing skills and performing the songs during sets. (It is always nice to know if people like your music or not, playing them live would let you know what works and what don't.)

After about 8 yrs of consistant travel (1/2 the country) and performing in venue's with acts such as:Head East, Sweet F.A., Southgang, Slamin' Glady's and other not so popular national acts, Eric got off of the road and moved to the town where he met his wife. He then took the "House Band" approach and played at various bars as a house bands for about 5 yrs. (the problem with being in house bands is that it gets you very spoiled and you become really lazy. Plus the challenge is no longer there anymore because you are playing to the same room 4 nights a week. it paid good! that's about it.)

During that time Eric also performed on the "Charlie Daniels Talent Roundup" On Nashville's TNN. (Our group "LUXURY" actually competed against the guy who wrote "Sold" For "John Michael Montgomery" He perfomed that song during the compitition before the song was released. He told us all about his success and that pretty much gave me the indication that songwriting is not that much of stretch professionally as I thought. You just have to get it out there, but that's is pretty much life...) We also got to open for ("Colin Raye, Lari White, Darren Norwood and Shenandoah") during that time period.

So after all the years (and this is a quickly condensed version) Eric has discovered that his wife and 4 boys are not as easily played as an instrument would be so to speak. ( I do have my personal home studio where I can escape and get my ego back in check. I am submitting work to Indie labels and who'ever else will listen. Getting a publishing deal is the goal right now along with writers nights in Nashville. You have to make the connections.)
