Firefly was formed in 2002. The band focused on embracing the uniquely Canadian sound that is Neil Young, Blue Rodeo and Rheostatics while introducing many other musical influences.Their first release, an eponymous six-song EP wove lover’s remorse, social decay and the wonderment of Northern Ontario together in 18 minutes. Made me Glad, Firefly’s first full release was recorded and mixed by Scott Merritt at The Cottage in Guelph, Ontario. Truly a labour of love, the CD showcases their eclectic guitar styles and layered vocals.Neil Little, Jeff Appel, Nick Bailey and Larry Guzik are Firefly.
