DeadraveN is an experiment in gothic/melodic expression. Piano and string melodies give shape to driving guitars and thoughtful vocals. The sound has been described as a cross between Nine Inch Nails and The Cure.
Although most often grouped into the genre of "Goth", DeadraveN's music is hard to categorize. The sound ranges from piano and synth melodies with soft or spoken lyrics to harder industrial sounds to lighthearted punk and just about anything inbetween.
DeadraveN is an attempt to escape the murk and mire of the modern music industry. The purpose of this music is two-fold; first, to offer an alternative to the bubble-gum pop and mallcore "metal" that seem to saturate the airways, and second, to express a balance between negative and postive energies in musical form.
