Heirs to the McQueen Fortune, side project by members of unknown indie veterans The Feebs and The Throats, dive into the murky morass of classic rock as filtered through the manifestos of the cassette revolution of the 90s. Formed in late 2004, the Heirs continue the MushyApple Records unsuccessful tradition of "always recording, never touring" and further embiggening an almost exclsuively unreleased catalog of basement/bedroom recording stretching back to the late 80s.

The Heirs to the McQueen Fortune are Mike O'Shaughnessy (gtr., vox., b., dr., kb., etc) and Jim O'Shaughnessy (dr., b., kb., gtr., vox, etc.). Produced by the pius bros (who engineered The Throats 'The Measurement' lp), and featuring guest artists Paddy Jameson and Lucy Starcrest, The Heirs bow to lo-fi/super-drunk pioneers Guided By Voices and semi-legendary Long Island basement band, The Martyrs, and are often influenced by whatever album they bought that day at Jackpot or Everyday Music.

With fair-to-middling technical skills on their instruments, the Heirs make up the artistic difference with broad compositional abilities. An endearing mix of humility and sarcasm fuels their ouevre. That, and a large dose of pretension, because neither of them are sure how to pronounce 'ouevre.'

They are the Heirs to the McQueen Fortune -- Quiet, they're recording.
