This is one of the few remaining recordings in existence featuring all the original members of Avalanche. A newly Remastered version of the original 1979 version, this song was the "B" side to Avalanche's ill-fated second commercial radio release. The "A" side, "You Just Can't Stop It" was banned from the air due to lyrical content...and unlike the first Avalanche single, in which both the "A" and "B" sides received extensive radio airplay...this song was never even considered for airplay by the New England stations that had all been very excited about Avalanche's follow-up record. Although it was never clearly explained as to why that was true...I believe the radio stations were so afraid of the repercussions from the FCC in regards to the "A" side...they just never even considered listening to this song at all. Had they taken the time to do that...there is a very good chance that this song would have received even more extensive airplay than either of the songs from the first single had...since this song was recorded in a much better studio...was better produced and mixed...and had elements of Avalanche that had never been apparent on the first single...such as three part vocal harmonies and twin lead guitar sections...not to mention that the band was enjoying great momentum at that time. (Hence, the choice of "You Just Can't Stop It" as the "A" side). It is one of the very few recordings of Avalanche with the late, great, Charles Calmese on bass...(who was killed in a head-on collision in 1988) and who had been awarded two Platinum Record Awards by the RIAA for his outstanding work on Steve Miller's "Fly Like an Eagle" and "Book of Dreams" albums...before becoming a member of Avalanche. It is the only recording I know of that also features Charles on background vocals.

This song originated from an idea by Mark Easton...and as in many Avalanche songs...the musical collaboration between Michael and Mark was magical...and the synergy between them helped Michael to create a bridge section, chord arrangements for the outro solo..along with distinctive solo parts throughout the song that were added to Mark's outstanding original ideas...and enabled this final version to be realized in finished form. Mark Easton's vocals shine...and his exceptional guitar work is also clearly evident during the final section of the song. Please keep in mind that this song was recorded in 1979....twenty seven years ago...before the advent of digital technology...and when Avalanche was a group of guys in their mid- twenties. (Barry Easton, Avalanche's drummer, was 17 years old at this time). It was originally recorded on 2 inch Tape...and was converted to ADAT in 2000...and Remastered in 2006.

We are glad to be able to at last, bring this song to the ears of our listeners and fans. We hope you like it.
