Christopher Martin Hansen's passion and artistry of the acoustic guitar resonates throughout the New Age, Classical, and World music that he writes and plays. His sense of melody and harmony is more emotion than rhythm or reason and is intertwined with feelings of mystery, joy and longing.
He has worked with relative unknowns, to artists who fill large auditoriums and stadiums. Yet with all his collaborations, he is still best known for his solo acoustic guitar playing. While at times still allowing for other instruments to help him tell his stories and musical travels.
His playing has been described as sensuous, haunting and filled with hope. Just listening to his compositions, you can tell he makes a conscious attempt to touch something inside the listener instead of just trying to surprise them. And though he professes to be just a 'writer of tunes', listen and hear that his music is much more. 'Thank you' for looking at his page and I hope you enjoy the music he has offered here, as much as he has had in creating it.
